Alaska ADA Parking Signs
The Alaska Administrative Code does not specify any requirements for handicap parking spaces. Title 21.07.090 Chapter 7 Subchapter J:10 of the Anchorage Alaska Code of Ordinances states that each accessible parking space shall be designated as reserved by pavement markings and a sign showing the symbol of accessibility and van-accessible spaces shall have an additional sign reading "Van-Accessible" mounted below the symbol of accessibility. Signs should be high enough so they are not obstructed by a vehicle parked in the space.
